Great plates alive! Lovely loose inking on these Ian. Funny, the character from the hole in the wall looks nothing like I'd pictured, but he was meant to be on of Voldar. Similar thinking , different thinking.
It's all happening at the moment. Like Paul said, love the loose, flowing inks and the strong colour too. Looks wunnerful! Voldarians at last, prison planet revealed, fab.
Just to clarify - Ian and I aren't working to a secret plan outside the spirit of HUZZAH!! I spoke to him the other day and told him about an idea I had for a bunch Angler fish type aliens with old men's heads instead of lights.
He liked it so much he pinched it ;-)
Paul - I was imagining a world of Voldarians trapped under the Prison planet crust too - in other words the planet is the prisoner!
I wonder how many of us had that notion.
They say Alien is filled with symbolism of the male fear of women giving birth - what the hell does the repeated symbolism in HUZZAH say about us guys?!?!?
Old men carrying wombs, babies made of death, a mother as a tortured eyeless witch, babies hidden inside monsters... Ye gads!!!
Cheers chaps. Re: purple tunnel, Paul drew it first!
With the ancient fetus (research for that was not nice), I was thinking along the lines of 2001: Space Odyssey but with Arthur C Clarke as the fetus... and mixing in a little Nien Nunb top lip for good measure.
1. A contributor must acknowledge their turn with a comment on the last submission after which they have 3 days to submit their plate.
2. Scene changes may only occur in panel one of each page. A contributor may take this opportunity to start a new chapter. A new chapter may start no less than 4 pages after the last chapter. 3. A contributor cannot follow directly after their last turn and can only Huzzah once per page. 4. If after 60 minutes no contributor has acknowledged their turn then rule 3 is suspended for that round and any contributor may claim the next plate. 5. "HUZZAH!!" draws to a conclusion on December 22nd 2009

How the Voldarian's look is entirely thanks to Rob.
Inking done very quickly with a fat brush and detail brush (or their digital equivalents).

Oh and of course bearded fish with foetus minds on stalks emerging from purple tunnels...!!!
All this without the aid of drugs. Unless you consider Mr. Kipling's cakes to be a narcotic of some sort...
Which I do! Sterling work chaps!

Everyone know the purple tunnel represents.... on second thoughts, I'll keep that to myself:)
I turn my back for a moment and you've all gone deep on me! Oh so very deep!
Great work as ever Ian. Really pushing this "baby" on!
