Mr. Sheen, always does the trick! Not safe to walk across if you're just wearing socks.

Now there's a face you can't forget! Highly effective combination of words and image in that last panel, Ian.

Cheers Faz, much appreciated :) "The Ghost of a Rose" is a tip of the hat to Sir Thomas Browne's "The Garden of Cyrus" (1658). I figured that Henooki's would be a comparable work of hermetic phantasmagoria.

my word, that Davis boy's quick as a whippet!

Actually I was first here and left it for a while to see if anyone jumped in. But I thought seeing as I've got a ton of work to do with deadlines on top of me I'd HUZZAH anyway.

These are brilliant panels Ian btw. Love the floor. I was also convinced Chris's witch had no features other than a mouth.

did everyone feel that or has Ian hardwired me to his imagination?

Chris' drawing spoke volumes.

Weirdly, 'The Ghost of a Rose' was the original title for chapter 1. But I changed it at the last minute because that first page had to be fairly demonstrative and 'the ghost of a rose' wasn't quite as pulpy as 'Prison Planet'.

Then when Dave Huzzah'd I sat there praying 'no eyes! Don't draw her with eyes!' And then Dave turned around a plate that showed only her mouth, and then another plate with the purple prose of Henooki. So I got to play my 'no eyes' and 'the ghost of a rose' cards all in one go.

Funny how these things work out in the end.

I have to 'fess up...In my original sketch she had eyes and little horns - Ian's is much more effective. I'm not gonna sleep a wink tonight! That last panel's given me the heebie jeebies!

Ah ha! What you don't draw will be drawn by someone else! Glad you like it Chris :)

Awesome work Ian. My own cluched thinking was of a face cast in shadow by a large hood, good to see you think better than me.
